# Boost a post

You pick the post, a goal, a budget and who should see it. Pozy makes the campaign, the ad set and the ad for you.

## Where it works

| Network | What you can boost |
|---|---|
| Facebook and Instagram | Your Page and Instagram posts. You can also send clicks to WhatsApp, Messenger or Instagram Direct |
| TikTok | Your own videos (Spark Ads), or another creator's video with their Spark Ads code |
| LinkedIn | Company Page posts only. Personal profile posts cannot be boosted |
| Pinterest | Pins you already published. Minimum budget is 5 in your ad account's currency |
| X | Posts you already published. Boosting is the way to run a video ad on X |
| Reddit | Posts by a profile of your ad account |
| Google, ChatGPT | Not available. These networks have no posts to boost |

## Do it in the dashboard

1. Open **Ads**, then **Create ad**.
2. **Ad account**: pick the network and the ad account that pays.
3. **Goal and type**: choose **Boost a post**, then the goal, for example more traffic or engagement.
4. **Ad**: pick from **Published posts**, or paste the **Post id** from the network.
5. **Audience**: choose countries, age and interests.
6. **Budget and schedule**: set a budget **Per day** or **Total**, and dates if you want them.
7. **Preview**, then **Review and create**. Under **Status after creating**, pick **Paused** if you want to check it in **Campaigns** before it spends.
8. Choose **Boost post**.

On Meta you can choose **Validate only** first. Meta checks the boost and creates nothing.

## Good to know

- Every network reviews ads first. A boost that was created is not yet running.
- TikTok boosts need at least one country.
- On LinkedIn, the post author may need to approve the post for sponsorship first.
- On Reddit, link the post's author to the ad account in Reddit Ads Manager first.
- Boosting an Instagram video can take a few minutes while Meta processes it. Wait before trying again.
- If you send the same boost twice within 10 minutes, Pozy returns the ad it already made instead of a second one.
- Budgets are whole amounts in the ad account's currency. 20 on a USD account means $20.
- A boost on Meta can open a chat instead of a website. It can even start one of your [workflows](https://pozy.ai/help/automations/workflows) in that chat.
