# Story replies, mentions and live comments

It works like [comment-to-DM](https://pozy.ai/help/automations/comment-to-dm), with a different trigger. These three triggers are on Instagram only.

## The three triggers

| Trigger | When it fires | Keywords |
|---|---|---|
| **Story reply** | Someone replies to your story with your word | Yes |
| **Story mention** | Someone mentions your account in their story | No. A mention has no text to match |
| **Live comment** | Someone comments your word during your Instagram live | Yes. Answered while the live is on |

## Do it in the dashboard

1. Open **Automations**, then **Comment to DM**, and choose **New automation**.
2. Give it a **Name** and pick your Instagram **Account**.
3. Under **Trigger**, choose **Story reply**, **Story mention** or **Live comment**.
4. For a story reply, choose **Any story** or **One story**. Then type your **Keywords**, for example LINK.
5. Write the **Direct message**. Add a button with your link if you want one.
6. Choose **Create and start**.

## Or ask your AI

> On my Instagram, when someone replies LINK to any of my stories, DM them "Here is the link from my story!" with a button to my shop. Send it once per person. Show me before turning it on.

## Ideas that work

- **Story reply:** "Reply LINK and I'll send it." Your story stays clean, and people get the link in their DMs.
- **Story mention:** thank people who share you. Add a small thank-you, like a discount code.
- **Live comment:** "Comment GUIDE now." Everyone watching gets the guide while you keep talking.

## Good to know

- Pick **Any story** for most cases. Stories disappear after 24 hours, so an automation on **One story** stops being useful after that.
- Only stories from the last 24 hours show in the list.

- **Also match DMs** is only for post comments, not for these triggers.
