# RCS business messaging

Source: https://pozy.ai/help/messaging/rcs

Android users get RCS in Google Messages. iPhone users get it in Messages on iOS 18 and later. Your messages can carry cards, carousels and buttons, and you see when they are read.

## What it costs

| | United States | Other countries |
|---|---|---|
| Setup, when Pozy files it with the carriers | $150 | $150 |
| When the carriers approve it | $750 | None |
| Every month, once live | $160 | $75 |

Messages are billed one by one, sent and received, by country. Nothing is charged until Pozy has reviewed your request. The monthly fee never runs while the carriers are still reviewing.

## Do it in the dashboard

Your sender on RCS is called an agent.

1. Open **RCS** and choose **New RCS agent**.
2. **The brand:** choose **Register a new brand** or **Use a registered brand**. Add the legal name, tax ID, registered address and a contact at the business. The address sets the launch country.
3. **The agent:** pick the **Profile (gets the inbox account)**, then the **Agent name**, **Use case**, **Description**, **Logo**, **Banner** and **Brand colour**. Pozy crops the images to the carriers' sizes.
4. Add your **Privacy policy URL**, **Terms URL** and contact buttons. Pick an **SMS fallback number** if you have one.
5. Check the costs and choose **Request agent**.
6. Pozy reviews it first. If something needs fixing, you see **We need a change**.

**In the US**, the agent then reaches testing. Add up to 20 **Test phones** and accept the invite on each phone. Try it from **Send a test**. Then fill in the **Launch** tab: example messages, how people agree to hear from you, your HELP and STOP replies, and a short screen recording of the agent on a test phone.

**In other countries**, you send the launch details with the request.

## How long it takes

US carrier review takes 4 to 6 weeks, so start early. Other countries vary by carrier. Supported countries include the US, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Brazil, Mexico and India, among others. Spanish carriers have paused new launches for now.

## Or ask your AI

> Send an RCS card to my test phone with a photo of our new menu, a short description and a "Book a table" button. Show me the card first.

## Good to know

- **Replies land in the [Inbox](https://pozy.ai/help/inbox/dms)** as RCS chats. Replies you type there are plain text. Cards and buttons go out from your AI or a developer.
- **SMS fallback.** Phones without RCS get the message as a plain SMS from your fallback number. US numbers cannot send SMS today, so a US fallback number does not deliver yet. See [SMS](https://pozy.ai/help/messaging/sms).
- **STOP means stop.** Someone who replies STOP gets no more messages until they reply START.
- The brand contact cannot be a Gmail address or a shared inbox like info@ or support@.
- T-Mobile and AT&T numbers cannot be test phones.
- A profile can have one agent in progress or live at a time.
- Once the details are filed with the carriers, they are locked. Only the SMS fallback number can change.
