Track link clicks and watch a post
Count who clicks the links you send by DM, and watch one post's verified numbers for up to 90 days.
#Count clicks on your DM links
Links in the buttons of a comment-to-DM message are tracked by default.
- Open Automations, then Comment to DM, and open an automation or create one.
- In the message settings, keep Track link clicks on. Clicks are counted for each person.
- Add a Click tag if you want, for example guide-click. Everyone who clicks gets that tag on their contact, so you can find them later.
- Read the results. The Comment to DM page shows Link clicks for all automations, with unique clicks and the click rate. Each automation's page shows its own Link clicks and an Activity tab.
Turn Track link clicks off to send your links exactly as written.
#Watch one post closely
A tracking window reads one post's numbers on every sync for a set number of days. Then it takes one final reading.
- Open Analytics, then Tracking.
- In Track a post, choose By post URL (pick the account and paste the link) or By post id.
- Set the Days, from 1 to 90. Add a Label if you want, like "spring campaign".
- Choose Start tracking.
- Under Tracking windows, choose View to see every reading on a chart and the post's authenticity score.
#The authenticity score
Each tracked post gets a score from 0 to 100. Higher looks more organic.
- Looks organic: 70 and up.
- Worth a look: 40 to 69.
- Likely inflated: under 40.
The score lists its reasons, like Late jump in views or Engagement too low for the views. Under Authenticity scores, pick an account and choose Likely inflated to find posts to check.
It helps when you pay creators for views or show a client how a campaign did.
#Or ask your AI
Track my latest TikTok video for 14 days and label it "spring campaign". Also, how many people clicked the link in my GUIDE comment-to-DM this week?
#Good to know
- Click counts come from the tracked links in DM buttons. Clicks that a platform reports on a post itself are in your numbers.
- Link tracking in emails is not available yet.
- All post readings come from the platform. Nothing is typed in by the person who posted.
- Readings include views from before tracking started.
- Tracking a post twice shows the window it already has.
- Cancel stops the window. There is no final reading after that.
- The score is a signal, not a verdict. A small account with a real viral post can show Views far above followers. Read the reasons before you act.
